Romaric Dognimin Ouattara, a former striker who was on loan at Marumo Gallants FC from January to June 2023, is back home after an unsuccessful six-month stint with the South African club. The young player, now aged 21, has confirmed his return to Stade d'Abidjan through a statement to Soccer Laduma.
Ouattara's time at Marumo Gallants was brief but not fruitful. He joined Bahlabane Ba Ntwa from Algerian side Olympique Akbou and managed only five appearances for the club, failing to find the back of the net in any of those matches. His departure has been confirmed by the club, marking a significant change in their squad composition.
The young striker is now set to join Stade d'Abidjan, one of the most successful clubs in Ivorian football with six league titles under their belt. Ouattara's two-year deal runs until June 2028, giving him ample time to establish himself and contribute to the team's success.
This move follows a series of departures from Marumo Gallants at the end of the season, including Ibrahim Bancé and Mohamed Doumbia, who was on loan from Young Africans. The club is now focusing on rebuilding its squad for the upcoming season, with Ouattara's return to Ivory Coast signaling a new chapter in his career.
